About

Twenty-first Century children embrace the traditional skills of stitching and crafting to create work reflecting a wide range of inspiration from cupcakes to cyber-space. This exhibition challenges the apparently damaging influence of computer games and TV and celebrates the creativity of 'kids these days'. The work has all been created at Stitch Clubs and Workshops run by Stitch-London. Textile Artist Sam Harvey will also exhibit with the children who constantly inspire and challenge her with colours, textures and ideas. Sam uses a range of techniques to create stitched and collaged sculptures and pictures which celebrate the texture and quirkiness of the world around us.
