About

Philip Stein (US, 1919 – 2009) created some of the most dramatic works by a North American artist in mid-20th century Mexico. A student of David Alfaro Siqueiros, Philip Stein combined his political interests with an action-packed and urgent style to create confrontational scenes that address themes which range from workers’ rights to global warming.
