Japanese artist Iyamari will make her UK debut in London in April 2018.
About
The Japan-born and London-based artist, Iyamari, will showcase her diverse artworks at the Millenium Art Gallery at the Bhavan in London in April and May 2018.
Iyamari’s interdisciplinary artistic interests lie in time and perception. Currently her creative aim is to construct a model of “a moment” and human cognisance, presented through installation artworks, showing the artist’s unique insight into this subject. In particular, her efforts focus on trees as media of preserving records of time.
The exhibition will be Iyamari's UK debut, and will feature wood prints as imprints of time and installations signifying moments. It will also incorporate the screening of her thought-provoking video artwork from the 'Telescore Project', a collaborative initiative involving performance artists including the renowned Butoh dancer Mr Ishii of the Sankai-Juku dance group.
