Art.Number23 and Green Lens Studios are presenting the work of photographers and video artists in their exhibition 'Static'.
About
The resultant collection of artworks in this show focuses on the mentality of the photographer and the nature of the photography as a form of art that traces the past. The photographers act as observers, distanced and detached, depicting the changes around them on social, political and environmental aspects.
The technological development, the revolution of the social media and the constant alterations to their surroundings are some of the main factors that are forming the perspective of the artists and by extension the outcome of their expression.
The title 'Static' indicates the position of the artists as a solid core to those changes where, stably and objectively, they capture the unfolding development of the world around them.
