About
States of Uncertainty features work by Olivia Punnett, Alexander White, and Siân Williams. Starting with a shared interest in spacial relationships, how artworks are affected not only by the space they are in but by their relationship to each other and to the viewer, the exhibition aims to explore ideas around ‘not knowing’, and uncertainty and the value they hold as sites for knowledge.
These things are not only important in the making process but also in the encounter with the finished work; the ‘in-between space’ where exists a dialogue between artist, artwork, and audience. It is through this dialogue that we hope the uncertainty of discovery will begin.
