Galleri Hesselboe is proud to announce an exhibition of recent works by London-based artist Rachael Davies - recipient of the Golden Chisel Prize for sculpture 2012.
About
Davies is interested in the role and processes of commerce, particularly within retail on the high street. Her work draws on branding, aesthetics, display and business strategies. She takes familiar objects, already circulating as a commodities, and remakes them by hand as precisely as possible. The objects chosen are so commonly interacted with every day, and often on a physical and intimate level, that design and production goes seemingly ignored.
