Spring spells a time of burgeoning landscapes, budding nature, renewal and growth. At Candida Stevens Gallery, five of its most popular artists have spent the winter creating new work, which they now present in this uplifting show dedicated to the spirit of the season.

About

Visitors to the gallery will be able to see work by highly acclaimed, textile artist Alice Kettle, whose work has featured in Pallant House Gallery, popular painters Giorgia Siriaco and Charlotte Evans, who were such a success at the recent Affordable Art Fair in London and gallery favourite, Irene Lees, shows her clever and beautiful drawings, spun through with words.  Jeremy Houghton, currently artist in residence for the Land Rover BAR America’s Cup, also returns with highly coloured versions of his much loved birds in flight.

With the theme so redolent of spring, the gallery also introduces two new artists. Calum McClure’s beautiful and light filled work celebrates the beauty of nature and the environment wherever he finds it and Nick Carrick’s abstract expressions reveal the beauty in the things we overlook in everyday life. Both invite us to look at the world around us afresh and anew.
