About
Hannah Slater is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose work comments on identity and memory through the use of visceral and tactile materials. Her work crosses the fields of sculpture, installation and sound. Her pieces often focus on sensory moments that invite the viewer to reinhabit and engage with past experiences.
Rose Berlin is a sound and light artist and graduate of Camberwell College of Arts. She experiments with the potential for sound and light to be used as atmospheric mediums to bridge the gap between art and music. Her work discusses the relevance of time and forces the viewer to engage with fleeting and seemingly forgettable moments.Through the use of theatrical presentations, she creates sparse performances that encourage the viewer to interact with and interoperate the constructed environment.
This exhibition brings together new works from Rose Berlin and Hannah Slater. Their work combines themes of resonance and experience within a multi-sensory setting. For both artists, this show is the culmination of parallel periods of creative practice and the merging of ideas and processes. This show displays new pieces of sculpture, installation, projection and video, demonstrating the variety of their practices.
