Curator Sara Thorsen Fredborg and painter Araminta Blue will talk about the individual and collective paintings included in their show “Splinters & Swimmers”, explaining how the conversation surrounding imagined natural spaces evolved as the project took form.
About
Araminta Blue was born 1990 in Cyprus to British parents. She completed her MFA in painting last year at the Slade School of Art and remained working in London with thanks to the ACS studio prize 2019. She also holds a BFA from the Ruskin School of Art. Her paintings are currently on view at Rosenfeld 23 July - 26 September.
Sara Thorsen Fredborg is a curator and writer. She graduated with an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art in 2018 and has since been Resident Curator at Generation & Display, London. Her practice revolves around notions of zeitgeist, collective psychology and climate change, often explored through the prisms of public space (material or virtual), architecture and technology.
