Veronica Shimanovskaya (MArch, ALM, MA, DFA) is a St. Petersburg-born London-based American artist. She has just completed her Professional Doctorate in Fine Art at the University of East London. She exhibits internationally in Germany, Greece, Slovakia, Serbia, Russia, UK and USA.
About
As Veronica is interested in pure subjectivity, and searching for an almost “pre-conscious” innocence of being (a concept known as apperception), she finds herself drawn more and more into the world of play as a method of art production. This yields artifacts representative of the moment – a pure moment of existence and unmediated experience. It is shared with the viewer manifested in the form on image. In the exhibition at the Shamineh Gallery She presents a body of work produced in the last year as well as a few pieces from her Impressions series (2014).
