Splash by artist Maria Colom explores the experience of being swimming or snorkelling.
The artist explores how a fluid sensation can be transferred to the viewer.
The show consists on 14 recent sea paintings where the materiality of the medium and the use of bubbles and splashes makes as feel submerged under the water offering us a dynamic and wet visual experience.
The result are psychological paintings full of beauty and energy which have a contemporary aesthetic to the traditional subject of depicting the sea.
