About
Zombie troubadours, radical saints and free-floating soap bubbles: fertile ground for cross-disciplinary arts practice.
Claire Hind and Gary Winters offer a performative talk on their recent collaborative practice.
Claire Hind and Gary Winters collaborate on visual exhibitions, live performance pieces for the city and for the studio, gallery or museum; they also make Super 8mm lm shorts, printed artworks and boxed archives that slip between performance documentation and artefact. Their collaboration encounters the relationship between writing, play and performance and the possibilities of slippage between the self and character. Claire Hind is an Associate Lecturer at York St John University with a PhD in performance practice from the University of Leeds and Gary Winters is Co-artistic Director of performance company Lone Twin. Celebrated for creating a broad range of projects, from theatrical productions to participatory public events, the company’s work is regularly shown across the world to popular and critical acclaim.
