Ein Abend kuratiert von raumlabor

Seit Mitte April ist das raumlaborberlin umgezogen in einen kleinen Ort in Südfrankreich namens “Saint Cirque la Popie”. Dort arbeiten nun 15 Leute und 5 Kinder an der Entwicklung der Stadt von morgen. Aber “Lotville” ist kein Science Fiction. Das Valeé du Lot hat eine 10.000 Jahre alte Zivilisationsgeschichte. Es gibt Kreuzritterburgen und eine stillgelegte Eisenbahn. Alleine 600.000 Touristen kamen im letzten Jahr in das Dorf um sich das kulturelle Erbe anzusehen! 

In den Dörfern rundherum leben die Zivilisationsflüchtlinge von gestern. Jene, die vor den missverstandenen Utopien der 70er davongelaufen sind. Hippies und ihre Kinder. Das kulturelle Leben ist dementsprechend vielfältig. 

Zudem ist der entvölkerte Landstrich froh über jeden Zugezogenen und Willkommenskultur wird groß geschrieben. Es bleibt eine Frage der Zeit bis die europäische Flüchtlingsbewegung herausfindet, das dies der ideale Ort zum ankommen ist. Das raumlaborberlin plant für diesen Moment. Beim Speisekino in Moabit zeigen sie erstmals die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit!

An evening curated by raumlabor

In mid of April the raumlaborberlin emigrated to that small village in south France named “Saint Cirque la Popie”. A group of 15 people and 5 children is working on developing the city of the future. But “Lotville” is not just “Science Fiction”. The valley of Lot has a 10.000 year old history of civilisation. There are crusader castles and an abandoned railway. Only last year over 600.000 touristes came to the small village to visit that cultural heritage. The refugees of the civilisation from the past live in the surrounding villages. All those who escaped the missinterpreted utopias from the 70ies. Hippies and their offsprings. According to this the cultural live is diverse. Furthermore this depopulated swath of land welcomes every immigrant and hospitality is taken very seriously. It is just a matter of time for the european refugee movement to understand the advantages of arriving here. Meanwhile the raumaborberlin is preparing and planning for this moment to come. During Speisekino in Moabit the first results of this plannin will be presented.
