About
Spectral Landscapes is a mixed media event which will explore the concept of the “English Eerie”: a form where use of the landscape in literature, film, art, music, and television creates a sense of unease and of Otherness to unnerving effect.
The event will feature the film work of Adam Scovell, screening both his recent collaboration with Robert Macfarlane, Holloway, and his upcoming ghost story,Salthouse Marshes, as well as a Q&A with the director. The event will also showcase a number of presentations and poetry readings surrounding the concept of the “English Eerie”, exploring the term and what it means academically, creatively, and culturally.
