The First Ever Speakerdog Exhibition

About

Ben the Illustrator is a UK based artist who creates dreamy landscapes full of ethereal colour. Ben works on a variety of projects from paper toys and t-shirts to international ad campaigns and magazine editorial work. Ben's clients vary from independent magazines such as Blowback to national newspapers including The Guardian, and from artwork for the National Geographic Channel to advertisements and even designing a car for Smart Cars. Ben's aims are to keep on creating beautiful landscapes and take his work to the world with solo exhibitions which would allow him to travel, see more places and create more and more striking artwork. Ben works with his wife, Fi, who manages the Speakerdog Paper Toy project and online print shops, together they also produce Speakerdog products including the fantastic 'Speakerdog Says...' Magazine.

Ben's character Speakerdog came to life on canvasses painted for enjoyment and quickly became an entity within himself! Speakerdog is a peace-loving, goodtime having, environmental mascot, gaining ever-increasing popularity with the kids, like-minded artists/designers, peace lovers, peace fighters, environmentalists, carers, sharers and peace badge wearers.

Speakerdog is an enthusiastic advocate for our planet, always with something positive, inspiring and thought provoking to say. He has already made appearances in Ben's landscape illustrations, in magazines, on t-shirts, as a belt, on canvas in group exhibitions, in an environmental book, as a Sketchel design for Jeremyville, on a customised pair of Sneakers for the Sneaker Pimps travelling exhibition and as his own paper toy - which has now become an ongoing project collaborating with other artists such as The Boy Fitzhammond, Susan Burghart, Andy Smith, Munk One, and many more. With Series 4 being released in a few weeks the project is getting bigger and better each time with a special design already created by the great Shin Tanaka.

The Kitch-en exhibition itself will be a trip into the wonderful world of Speakerdog with good vibes and incredible colour blossoming throughout the gallery. The artwork on display will include canvasses, custom painted objects, large format posters, and every Speakerdog Paper Toy designed so far. We will also be displaying and selling a variety of prints, posters and products at affordable prices.
