This April Agora Gallery embraces the unexpected with a trio of forward-thinking exhibitions.

About

Spatial Fluidity features nine artists who blur the line between two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, be it through introducing new media or using traditional materials in unique ways. There are pieces that experiment with mixed textures, some that use distinctive and asymmetric surfaces, and some that even incorporate light. Contemporary Perspectives is a group exhibition that marries classic subject matter with new styles, such as romantic botanicals portrayed in energized, saturated colors or traditional portraiture that sheds light on historically overlooked people. This exhibition looks at modernity from all sides in drawing, painting, and mixed media.

Both of these exhibitions open April 1, 2017 and run through April 21, 2017 with a joint opening reception on Thursday, April 6 from 6-8 pm. Entrance is free.
