Daniele Tamagni has been documenting Afro hair beauty salons in Brixton focusing on these spaces at different moments of the day as well as on the skill and creativity of the hairdressers. His second project is about understanding the relationship of multicultural and diverse communities within the changing urban landscape of the regeneration in Peckham. In this exhibition he focuses in particular on the area’s many religious congregations. The two projects are related, with the same aim underlining the vitality, and the positive, vibrant and familiar atmosphere of African communities in South London"."
