About

Led by pioneer Japanese experimental musician Otomo Yoshihide, who was hailed by The New York Times as “incredibly adept…” and is also known for his composition of the hit theme song from the 2013 NHK morning drama Amachan (あまちゃん), FEN includes leading avant-garde musicians from throughout Asia of equivalent prestige to Otomo in Japan: Ryu Hankil (Seoul), Yan Jun (Beijing), and Yuen Chee Wai (Singapore).

Arrive early, and explore Japan Society's Gallery's spring exhibition In the Wake: Japanese Artists Respond to 3/11. Extended hours until 7 PM on May 14 and free admission to all FEN ticket holders!
