"Hi, my name is Ginger.
I'm a Goldfish.
I was hosted and fed for a week,
here at DISPLAY.
But now it's time.
It's time to become me."
About
I’ve always wanted to own a goldfish.
At that time I was running Display and, for a series of unfortunate events, we found ourselves without exhibitions.
“Let’s just display a fish, on a plinth, and give it an evocative (and pretentious) title!” was my idea.
So we organized the exhibition, entitled “Solo: a Meditation about, Love, Life, Past, Present & Future.”
Every day I went to the gallery to take care of the fish.
The goldfish was beautiful, and I had called it Ginger because its color reminded me of ginger, a drink I’m fond of.
One day, however, because of a wedding to which I had been invited, I missed my appointment with Ginger.
The next day, Ginger had disappeared.
In its place, some ginger.
