Solitude

Artist Damilola Akinola will be exhibiting his solo show, "Solitude" which explores the intricacies of the relationship between man and nature, depicting the constant tension, fight for superiority and sometimes playfulness between the two. Akinola feeds from greek mythology and the writings of Shakespeare to add to the drama and grandeur of the surreal situation in his paintings. The exhibition will consist of six large paintings and an array of playful study sculptures, investigating how the ideas and theories that come from sculpture are transfered to the medium of paint.
