SHOWstudio Gallery presents Interdependence, an exhibition
presenting a culmination of new sculptural works by Italian artist
Sofia Lai, directly inspired by SHOWstudio Gallery’s world-famous
extensive archive of fashion illustrations.
About
Interdependence is made up of five lifelike sculptures by Lai, staged
next to five empty chairs, creating a purposeful setting intent on
exploring the intimate relations between artworks as if they were
living beings in conversation with one another. While borrowing from
feelings of connection and disconnection, the exhibition acts as a
portrayal of loneliness in spite of togetherness.
