Complete a soapstone carving using specialist tools and techniques.

About

This workshop will provide a general introduction to the carving of soapstone. You will develop a working knowledge of the material, the tools and methods used to complete a carving. We will be exploring the mansion gardens for inspiration for your designs. This workshop is part of ArtLab - a collaboration between the mansion’s resident artists Amanda Seljubac and Sadia Ur-Rehman who will be bringing their creative skills and expertise to a series of 10 workshops throughout the year to celebrate ten years of the mansion being open to the public.
