Vic Godard is an artist and artist’s artist. For people unfamiliar with his musical oeuvre, it’s a bittersweet story about a very talented character who never made it for reasons that were (perhaps) out of his control. He is a national treasure and a lovable eccentric.. In his punk band the Subway Sect, Vic inspired everyone from Joe Strummer to Jesus and Mary Chain and Edwyn Collins.

Vic has a new found love of art and is bringing his fag packet drawings to Sunderland. The Heartstrings are all massive fans of Vic and we can’t wait to get a closer look at his artwork.
