650mAh is pleased to present Slip spill, a solo exhibition of wall drawings by London-based artist Sara Anstis.

A text written by the artist and writer Yiğit Soncul accompanies the exhibition, centred around slips of the tongue and the natural history of the colour purple.

 

Please join us at the opening on Saturday 20 April, 2-6pm

There will be a poetry reading by Evie Ward at 4pm

Sara Anstis (b. 1991, Stockholm, SE) lives and works in London, UK. Anstis received her BFA in Studio Art and Sociology at Concordia University, Montréal, CA in 2013 and her MFA in Fine Art from Valand Academy, Gothenburg, SE in 2016. She completed the Drawing Year Postgraduate Programme at the Royal Drawing School, London, UK in 2018.

Recent shows and projects include Gestures of Comfort at Galerie Antoine Ertaskiran, Montréal, CA (2019); Sara Anstis and Christopher Davison at HARPY, Rutherford, New Jersey, USA (2019); Summer Will Have Its Flies at Subsidiary Projects, London, UK (2019); Works on Paper at BEERS, London, UK (2018); I Will Survive and "Survival Handbook" (ed.) launch at Alta Art Space and Galleri CC, Malmö, SE (curator) (2018); Anna-Lisa Thomson Till Minne at Uppsala Art Museum, Uppsala, SE (2016).  Residencies include El Segundo Museum of Art (ESMoA), USA (upcoming) and Studio residency, Rhode Island School of Design, Rhode Island, USA (2019).
