About

To celebrate the closing weekend of the current exhibition 'David Bomberg: Objects of Collection', Borough Road Gallery will be opening late as part of March South London Art Map (SLAM) Fridays. This is one of the last chances to see the show, and enjoy a drink, before it closes the following day (last day Saturday 29 March). ‘David Bomberg: Objects of Collection' brings together work by David Bomberg from ‘A David Bomberg Legacy — The Sarah Rose Collection' and the London South Bank University (LSBU) art collection. It is an opportunity to see these paintings and drawings together for the first time and to explore these artworks — as well as David Bomberg's life and art practice — through a range of different perspectives. Short texts have also been invited from leading curators and academics to accompany the exhibition. Contributors include award-winning art critic, historian, broadcaster and curator Richard Cork, and Rachel Dickson, Head of Curatorial Services at Ben Uri Museum of Art, Identity and Migration.
