About
SKIN DANCE episode 1by Natalia Janula & Richard Müller
A meditation on skins, membranes, epidermis,
The fleshy wrapper.
A couple pints of custard in a plastic bag.
A moth masticates a jumper.
sailor moon begins her transformation - summoning protective ribbons that enrobe and bind her.
“Let me slip into something more comfortable”
Perhaps the ultimate edition.
A Dutch child puts their finger in the dyke.
Another carefully wraps a flesh colored plaster around a wound.
A medieval tome bound in human skin.
Rearrange the touch of a lover.
A towel hanging in the breeze.
Laid out like love, vulnerably exposed.
Additional skin
A secondary skin - needing protection
Hold me. Contain me:
intimate and sensuous.
SKIN DANCE episode 1 is a collection of wearables commissioned for this launch by changing room.

Natalia Janula and Richard Müller are artists living and working in London. The pair began a collaborative relationship after graduating from the Slade School of Fine art with a MFA in Fine Art Media.
Janula creates work using a vocabulary of sensuous and uncanny materials that find a poetic indentity through their entanglment with digital content.
Müller employs technologies, often erringly, to create works of sound, video and installation.
changing room is a monthly event launching newly commissioned wearable editions of art. It is a project run by Rosa Doornenbal and Marios Stamatis. Currently based in a disused changing room in Deptford, London.
