In the series SINK, Sun Youngeun makes objects sink into the ground. Thus she questions our most basic assumptions and measures: How firm is the ground we stand on?
About
Berlin-based artist Sun Youngeun has created an immersive experience in all 3 rooms at LiTE-HAUS for her ongoing installation projects which utilize painting, sculpture, and video.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted how artists tell stories, and how we experience daily life. Sun's solo exhibition explores the changes that have occurred to us personally. She aims to share feelings with the viewer of uncertainty, urgency, no longer feeling the firm ground beneath our feet. In the series SINK, Sun Youngeun makes objects sink into the ground. Thus she questions our most basic assumptions and measures: How firm is the ground we stand on?
