About

Silver Line Sculpture Trail Created with Local Community Norwich, Norfolk- 25th June 2011 A series of figurative sculptures will be installed in nine unusual venues throughout the Norwich City Centre from 25th June through to the 10th July. These sculptures were modelled directly on members of the local community. The material the sculptures are made from is silver heat reflective film. This material is incredibly resilient, and is of both a protective and a reflective nature. Many of the sculptures on display will be modelled from the people who work or spend time in each location, becoming an echo of everyday life. "The Silver Line Trail gives people an exciting opportunity to discover glittering sculptural treasures, looking out from balconies and hidden in shop windows all over the city centre." -Jacqui Jones, Nadja Artist A map with details of the nine trail locations is available to download from www.nadjaartists.blogspot.com. There are also flyers available in all participating venues and the Tourist Information Centre in the Forum. Silver Line was conceived and created by the Nadja Artists, a collective of three female multi-disciplinary artists engaged with themes relating to contemporary gender issues. Silver Line is supported by the Norfolk County Council Arts Project Fund, Jewson, and John Olivers. Nadja Artists are: Diane Archer, Jacqui Jones, and Christina SabbertonӬ map avalable to download from blog nadja.artists@googlemail.comӬ www.nadjaartists.blogspot.com
