This mini festival will showcase a variety of talents from filmmakers. These twelve films were all made with children and young people in Essex and will be projected upon the walls within this Napoleonic fort (except during events).

Signals Media Arts Centre - Based in Colchester Signals uses digital media for learning, creativity and to improve lives. The organisation works mostly with children and young people.

1.Super Heroes Under the Sea - Using animation and shadow puppets. This film was made by a reception class from Wickford C of E primary School. ...
2.Be a little Boulder: An award winning animation that was made by pupils at Tendering Primary School
3.Turning Tides - Short
4.Paper Dolls - A mixed media animation about body image made by young people from CSS Heybridge this film was shown in New York
5.Anticipation Animation – Perryfeilds Junior school children made this film before the 2012 London Olympics
6.A Fair World - Made by 7 to 11 years olds, an animation about Fair Trade the film was made over the Easter holiday in 2015
7.The Listeners - This short film was made by children from Frobisher Primary School in Jaywick who were inspired by the poem 'The Listeners' by Walter de la Mare
8.Turning Tides – Documentary made by Signals Youth Film Club about the heritage of Essex costal towns and piers.
9.Timmy’s Garden - Made by 7 to 11 years olds. The animated film is about the harm cruel words can do and how kindness helps.
10.Time Report – This award winning film was made by children at Perryfeilds Junior school nr Chelmsford. It is a sci-fi film set in a polluted future where a space station TV-studio sends a time jumping reporter to investigate earths history.
11.Essex Girls - This extract is from a documentary made by Signals Youth Film Club. The film looks at the roles Essex woman have played in history, the extract looks at women’s work in the World wars up to the Dagenham strike.
12.Plastic Ocean - Made by 7 to 11 years olds this mixed media animation is about the damage plastic can do to our oceans.
