The Royal College of Art, the world’s number one art and design university presents its annual graduate exhibition – Show 2017.

About

From 25 June – 2 July 2017 the RCA’s Battersea and Kensington campuses will be filled with displays, shows and performances as the next generation of artists, designers and makers present their artwork, projects and products to the public for the first time.

Characterised by entrepreneurial energy, passion and dynamism, Show 2017 is an inspiring exhibition of contemporary art and design by the RCA’s international community. Spanning an expansive variety of creative disciplines, from Fine Art, Ceramics and Textiles, to Vehicle Design, Architecture and Communication – visitors will discover the best in emerging research and practice, formal advancements and new modes of expression from the RCA’s MA, MPhil and PhD students.

Entry to the exhibitions is free, with some paintings, prints, sculptures, glassware, jewellery, furniture and textiles available for sale or commission. A shuttle-bus between the Kensington and Battersea sites enables visitors to explore the full spectrum of the RCA’s creative output.

The School of Architecture and Fashion will each present off-site in respective central London locations. This marks the first year that Architecture will exhibit away from the College, whilst the Fashion Show builds on the momentum of last year’s Show that took place in an abandoned London hotel. Further details of the Architecture and Fashion Shows will be announced shortly.

The RCA trains the world’s creative leaders. The 2017 cohort follows in the footsteps of creative giants that include David Adjaye, Lara Bohinc, Ian Callum, Gillian Carnegie, James Dyson, Tracey Emin, Erdem, Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, Sheela Gowda, Anthea Hamilton, Thomas Heatherwick, David Hockney, Runa Islam, Asif Kapadia, Orla Kiely, Chris Ofili, George Shaw, Alice Temperley and Cerith Wyn Evans.
