AboutRecent statistics suggest that the average time gallery visitors spend with artworks is 7 seconds, moving up to a whopping 30 seconds for film and video work. Accordingly we will be accepting submissions of video pieces between 7 and 30 seconds long for consideration. There is no restriction on style or form, only duration!
42 New Briggate is located in Leeds City Centre next to The Grand, with plenty of footfall. The projection will be viewable in the window from dusk until dawn each day 3rd December - 27th February. Submissions should not contain material that may be considered offensive. There will be no provision for audio so silent works only please.
The showreel will be launched as part of Art in Unusual Spaces, a scheme that endeavors to utilise empty spaces for creative and cultural activity, on 3rd December. Art in Unusual Spaces is supported by Leeds City Council's Art and Regeneration and Public Art teams.
