Like a sharply spraypainted satellite orbiting the globe descending only to exhibit his latest offerings. Whether it be New York, Chicago, Melbourne or sunny South-East London we are ecstatic to see the return of Melbourne based Graffpop Artist SWELER.
About
After introducing the artist to Ben Oakley Gallery in a couple of group shows 2016/17 we went onto proudly curate ‘LEGIONS PLAYGROUND’ in 2019 the Artists’ first Solo exhibition in London where he carved out a permanent groove in our Artists roster, selling out in record time and repeating this achievement four times over in subsequent years. Now 2024, the world has changed but our Love and Passion for Swelers work has stayed fixed. The paintings have evolved & refined into familiar figures & scenes that could grace any Big Screen Animation film. His characteristic melt your heart creatures with their undeniable dark side lurking & his distorted figurative associates dressed as casuals in their adidas garb armed with their tools of the trade still impress.
So without further ado Ben Oakley Gallery are Proud once again to present Swelers’ latest solo Show ‘SHOE SHOPPING BAREFOOT’ to be held at OPEN 205 Deptford High St SE8. 20th June 6-9pm runs til 30th June. Thurs -Sundays or by appt.
