EXHIBITION
ELAD LAROM - THE VOID
Temptation, craving and destruction portrayed by blackholes, beautiful women and addicts formulate this series of watercolor paintings.
This body of work Draws a line between attachment and addiction, between the concrete and the abstract.
AS ABOVE
The void, the bardo of nothingness. Space in another realm.
Weakening of consciousness, or the sensation of post orgasm as little death, la petite mort.
A black hole sucks everything around it, folding time and space.
A black hole is a dark weight, even light can’t escape it.
SO BELOW
A black hole is the Negative Nirvana that hard drug users seek to experience: leaving their bodies behind while they enter the void.
Women, that obscure object of desire.
