Bold, iridescent and highly textured Sea and Landscape Paintings

About

Guaranteed sunshine, sparkle and shimmer. Golden sands, blue seas, lapping waves and melting sunsets ? all guaranteed, whatever the weather, from 8-20 May at the Fountain Gallery Hampton Court, where Scottish artist Beverley Waller will be unleashing her new paintings in Shimmer, an exhibition of stunning textured and iridescent land and seascape paintings.
?There is no risk of sun burn and no special glasses (sunglasses, 3D or otherwise) are needed to enjoy my new collection of paintings? jests artist Beverley Waller, ?just come along and enjoy the sea and sunshine - indoors!?
Big, bright and bold Waller?s canvases use glistening colours and rich textures to express an emotional response to the many moods of land and sea in her native Scottish Highlands . Her choice of iridescent pigments bring each abstracted landscape to life, as its colours shimmer and change with the light dancing over the textured surface. Waller?s palette includes sand, shingle and sawdust which are combined into the vibrant paint .
Inspired by her love of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland where she sketches and observes the shifting weather and power of the landscape thoughout the year, she has a studio in South West London and is a member of the Fountain Gallery Artists Group.
