AboutWith no set theme, photographers are invited to submit their work on any subject and any style or genre, which should engage or challenges the viewer, either to convey stories, raise questions or provoke feelings.
Above all, we encourage free expression and are keen to see new and creative approaches that explore the realm of story-telling through photography.
The competition, running from the 9th November 9th December at Hutton's Building on West Street, in Sheffield, will take the form of an exhibition and public competition to promote Sheffield photography and will host both open access and invitation events.
Five winning exhibitors will be offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to exhibit alongside internationally acclaimed, multi award winning photographer, Donald Webber at his prestigious Interrogations exhibition, which is being shown at White Cloth Gallery in Leeds from the 21st February 2013.
Winning entries will be selected by public vote and the competition will receive both local and national PR.
Entry is free and open to all, regardless of experience. All submitted work will be exhibited and entrants can submit one image or a selection of works from the same series.
Entrants must be able to deliver their work printed onto a suitable medium or framed to Hutton's Buildings, on the 1st November and be able to pick it back up by arrangement. They will also be offered the opportunity to invigilate at the exhibition and attend the invitation events.
