This show is a fascinating glimpse into the work of printmaker Sharon Baker. She has created a series of multi-coloured photo etchings inspired by the drain and manhole covers we see on our streets every day.

About

We present twenty one photo-etchings by Sharon Baker inspired by the manhole covers in urban town and cityscapes in the UK and abroad. The bold gestures and colours within her prints create abstract images out of the known and familiar. They are wonderful celebrations of ubiquitous items of street furniture. Her manhole cover prints are meticulously detailed and capture their surface patterns and material qualities. They are images of industrial beauty.
