Shahryar Nashat (born 1975) works in the media sculpture and video, at the centre of which is the vigorous game of covetousness and the need for representation.
About
For his largest institutional solo exhibition to date, Nashat presents a new film and a group of sculptures that combine autobiographical fragments with a technoid-acting aesthetic.
The exhibition is extensively supported by Martin Hatebur with additional support from the Isaac Dreyfus-Bernheim Foundation and the Erna and Curt Burgauer Foundation. Nash's new film was produced with the support of Lafayette Anticipation Fund de dotation Famille Moulin, Paris.
