A group exhibition exploring transitional spaces

About

Four artists living by the sea respond to the idea of the edgeland—a space between states, where land meets water, solid turns to liquid, and the natural merges with the manmade. Anchored by the horizon line, a constant yet shifting boundary, the works reflect on transformation, impermanence, and the psychological tension of being in-between. Celestial rhythms—the rising and setting of sun, moon, and stars—mirror our inner states of flux and remind us that nothing stays fixed.

Seaside towns have long drawn those on the margins—individuals seeking space, escape, or healing outside societal norms. In this liminal zone, structure dissolves and introspection deepens. For artists, the edgeland can offer renewal and freedom. Separating Circle considers this duality: the edge as both refuge and rupture, a site of metamorphosis and uncertainty.
