Join this exciting workshop to explore anthropomorphism within the collection
About
The history of Western European landscape painting is peppered with hidden figures. Both in pictures and in text, artists and writers have been keen to convey faces seen in clouds, trees shaped like figures, and entire landscapes visible in the markings and stains of walls.
This workshop will explore instances of anthropomorphism in the collection. It will also allow participants to photograph the fabric of the Gallery and, weather permitting, the faces and figures hidden in the rocks, trunks, and foliage of nearby St James’s Park.
Essential: please bring your smartphone.
