About
The title Seedbomb refers to a vital part of ‘guerrilla gardening’, the small seed carriers made with paper pulp from recycled post-industrial material, to protect seeds and retain water for germination. These become a revolution in the hand, to be launched onto wasteland, creating future green spaces, wildflowers, edible crops, or herb gardens.
Applying this concept to the practice of painting or the making of comparable mixed-media works for the purpose of an exhibition, the works shown in Seedbomb are about the future: sparks of hope, desire…maybe subversion and the exhibition is a grouping of small artworks as seedbombs of artists’ thoughts, ideas, or imperatives for the future.
