This August Bank Holiday SECAM will be in Margate! With newly reopened Dreamland, Turner Contemporary and partners presenting TRIBES, a month-long festival of perfomance, exhibitions and events taking place throughout Margate, there couldn't be a better time to visit. Margate is famous for its coastline, but it is also famous as being home to one of the UK’s strongest and most exciting artistic communities.
About
Turner Contemporary will be showing Grayson Perry’s Provincial Punk, as well as hosting the inuagural Art Car Boot Fair Margate Edition. CRATE will be opening its doors to give tour attendees a view of the work of two recent graduates.
SECAM is also going to be stopping by Lombard Street Gallery to take in the final weekend of their Summer Exhibition and LIMBO, who will be creating a miniature museum inside a beach hut and hosting an Art Jumble Sale. Also not to be missed this August Bank Holiday is Steve McPherson’s In-insignificance and group show Barber’s Son – Hairdresser’s Daughter: Moss at Pie Factory Margate and Resort’s Revue Members Exhibition.
