This course is for people who understand how to prepare screens and print, but who want to learn techniques associated with preparing digital artwork for screenprinting. Participants will have either attended Screen on Paper 1 or gained experience elsewhere.
The course focuses on producing multi-layered prints with emphasis on technical knowledge, i.e. CMYK printing, duotones, halftones, dither, full bleed, registration techniques inks & additives, overprinting, gradients and varnishes.
For the course you will need a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, a laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed. 300dpi image/s saved as psd or tif.
Helen Ashton studied Fine Art at London Metropolitan University and specialised in printmaking. Helen currently works as Technician at East London Printmakers and as a freelance Editioning Printmaker and Designer.
