About
Screenprinting is a simple and accessible technique for producing a repeated graphic image or photograph onto paper using layers of ink. It involves forcing ink through the mesh of a screen onto paper (or lots of other materials) using a squeegee. Screenprint can produce really exciting results and is a fun and rewarding print process.
On this four week course you will learn how to screenprint your own images using a range of techniques. You’ll create and prepare your own designs using hand cut paper stencils, hand drawn images and digitally printed positives. You will then learn how to coat the screen, expose your images onto the screen, mix your own inks and finally print.
Estefania will demonstrate each technique and provide focused support throughout the four weeks to help you complete your own set of prints to take away with you on completion.
This is a great opportunity to gain a strong foundation of practical knowledge and we are certain you will leave inspired to continue screenprinting on paper in the future.
