About
Screenprinting on Fabric is a simple and accessible technique for producing a repeated pattern or image onto fabric using layers to build the design. Ink is forced through the mesh of a screen onto the fabric using a squeegee, allowing a variety of marks, patterns and images to produce really exciting results.
Join us for one or both days of this weekend course and you will learn all the key skills required to print your own designs onto fabric.
Katie will demonstrate all the key techniques needed, including how to create your own designs ready for the screen, how to prepare screens for printing using hand-cut paper stencils, hand drawn images and digitally printed positives, mixing inks and more. You’ll then have the opportunity to play with colour and your own designs to create your very own printed fabric.
Join us for the second day of the weekend and you will have the chance to build on what you have learned already, working on your own small projects from conception through to completion.
Katie will be on hand to offer 1-2-1 advice throughout specific to your projects and what you want to achieve. You’ll leave feeling super inspired and with a square meter piece of fabric printed with your very own design to take home.
