Screen Print on Paper Workshop (2 Day)

Learn how to screen print over two consecutive Saturdays at Art Hub’s Woolwich print studio. You’ll be shown how to print onto paper using water-based inks with a vacuum table and also with simple clamps. The workshop will cover preparing artwork, coating and exposing a screen, mixing colours, registration and printing. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience who may need a refresher. Places are limited to 6.

The course will cover:

• Printing with paper stencils

• Preparing digital artwork for print

• Preparing and coating a screen with photo emulsion

• Exposing a screen using a UV exposure unit

• Mixing water-based inks

• How to register and print a two colour print

• Course notes with course content are included

What to Bring:

Bring along a notebook and any source material you’d like to work from. Wear old clothes as you may get inky. All materials are provided.

Tutor: Helen Ashton

Helen Ashton, aka Pat Lunch, is an artist, designer and printmaker. Her work incorporates screen printing, etching, collage, drawing and photography. She currently works as a Print Studio Technician and teaches printmaking at East London Printmakers and Art Hub.
 

Cancellations and Refunds

If you cancel 7 days or more before the workshop begins, we will provide a full refund minus a £10 admin fee. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start date of the workshop no refund will be given.

Participants must be over the age of 18.
