Santiago Joaquin is a queer Latin American London based artist whose practice revolves around film and performance. His practice currently explores questions of identity, how we connect as beings in the world, and the power we exercise over each other. With particular attention to philosophical ideas around the impact of big data and the visceral experience on our sense of self, he is exploring the notion of fear as fiction and self caused.  

Combining a night of theatrical expression and invigorating dance music Joaquin plays with the operation of power and hierarchy through a controlled experience of short film and radical performance both restricting the action to a single setting to increase tension while stimulating desire and defense. The aim of the artist is to encourage the viewer to resist rejection and befriend your emotional terrors.
