About
Scorched presents several distinct works from across Aoife van Linden Tol's career. Black powder, fuse or a blow torch has burnt & scarred the surface of the materials. Working with copper, paper, ice and the galley wall itself.
Rooted within the realms of chemistry and physics, Aoife van Linden Tol creates arresting and beautiful works which examine concepts of time, density and matter. A mixed media artist working predominantly with explosives her practice spans sculpture, installation, drawing, photography, film and performance.
Graduating from Central St Martins College of Art and Design in 2002 with a BA Hons in Art & Design, Aoife van Linden Tol has exhibited internationally including at the ICA London, the San Francisco MOMA USA and the NGBK Berlin.
