Satu Kiuru is exploring through her art and artistic research our collective shadow side, exporting old methods from Finnish poetic storytelling to examine something that lies hidden from our consciousness. Her upcoming exhibition explores the themes of hidden greed, jealousy and envy. Her artwork signifies a moment of artistic crystallization, where the artists’ research enables the psycho-analytical and societal review of the artistic process. This point of view makes it possible to include the aesthetic, social and mythological dimensions of examining the artistic process. This artistic revelation is part of the PhD thesis of Satu Kiuru. “This exhibition represents the creative and critical synthesis which was created by the journey through depths of the artistic process. Satu Kiuru lives and works in Finland and Italy. Her works have been exhibited in solo exhibition and also in invited and juried international exhibitions in Finland and abroad.

Satu Kiuru - Die Schattenseite

Satu Kiuru erkundet durch ihre Kunst und artistische Forschung unsere gemeinsame Schattenseite. Sie setzt dafür alte Methoden aus finnischer poetischer Erzählkunst ein, um Dinge zu enthüllen, die vor unserem Bewusstsein verborgen sind. Ihre bevorstehende Ausstellung erkundet die Themen von versteckter Gier, Eifersucht und Neid. Ihre Kunst deutet einen Moment der künstlerischen Kristallisierung an, zu dem die Forschung der Künstlerin die psychoanalytische und gesellschaftliche Prüfung des künstlerischen Vorgangs ermöglicht. Dank dieser Ansichtsweise ist es möglich, die Ästhetik, soziale und mythologische Dimensionen in der Prüfung des künstlerischen Vorgangs einzuschließen. Diese künstlerische Offenbarung ist Teil der Doktorarbeit von Satu Kiuru. “Die Ausstellung repräsentiert die kreative und kritische Synthese, die anhand einer Reise durch die Tiefen des künstlerischen Vorganges entstand. Satu Kiuru lebt und arbeitet in Finnland und Italien. Ihre Werke wurden in Einzelausstellungen sowie in geladenen und von Juroren beurteilten internationalen Ausstellungen in Finnland und im Ausland präsentiert.
