"Sated" is a programme of four panel discussions curated by a/political in collaboration with the Goldsmiths Visual Cultures Society at Goldsmiths, University of London.
About
"Sated" will examine the deteriorating effect of the rhetoric of success and the smugness that comes with it; characteristic for the current profit-driven economy, on a critical assessment of social reality. For this first discussion, we ask how the limitations of language and knowledge resulting in stereotypes can be overcome using such media as poetry, visual arts and self-publishing.
Invited Speakers:
- Franko B (Artist)
- Sharan Dhaliwal (Editor in Chief, Burnt Roti)
- Kendell Geers (Artist)
- Dr Susan Kelly (Senior Lecturer Fine Art, Goldsmiths)
- James Massiah (Poet)
This discussion will be moderated by Dr Sylwia Serafinowicz (Curator, a/political)
