Master the basics of tailoring and achieve the much desired sartorial look in this six week practical workshop. Led by an experienced sewing tutor who has worked at the renowned Bespoke Tailoring house Thom Sweeney; as well as teaching pattern cutting and garment construction techniques at various establishments across London.

Inspired by the sartorial aesthetic in womenswear seen at fashion labels such, as Zara, The Row, J.W. Anderson, Yves Saint Laurent, Paul Smith, and Alexander McQueen you will create a three piece ensemble from a Vogue pattern using traditional hand sewing and machine techniques.

You will experiment with a range of pattern cutting and design techniques, learning about finishing garments to a professional level crafted with your chosen fabric.

The backdrop for this fashion experience is The Gallery at the legendary bohemian music cafe The Troubadour in the heart of Chelsea, which is only a short walk from the Victoria & Albert Museum one of the worlds largest museums of art and design.

The workshop is suitable for all levels from the budding novice to the more experienced seamstress.
